Despite the constant movement, high-impact nature of hockey I was drawn to this pre-game moment before Saturday's Avs' home opener at the can.
For the first game of the year, you couldn't ask for much more than a game against your heated rivals from Detroit and a pre-game jersey retirement ceremony for Peter Forsberg...except a win. In what seemed like a slow game, Detroit took control and secured a 3-0 victory.
