It has been a year since I last shot lacrosse so it was good to get out Saturday night for the Outlaws game.
They quickly ran off and hid with the lead, dominating and undermatched Hamilton Nationals squad. Despite slowing down in the second half they still came away with a convincing 15-6 victory.
All things considered I thought there was some decent action to be had. Lacrosse is always tricky because the helmets obstruct your view of the players faces and the sticks often find themselves outside of your frame.
To try something different I shot a decent amount of the game from nearly directly behind the goal. With just the advertising boards for protection I really had to make sure not to get hit with that hard rubber ball that reaches speeds excess of 100mph. It's risk versus reward and I think it paid off.
