The last couple of days covering the Women's Final Four was a blast. Access was solid, the jube was great and my remotes produced a few nice images.
The crazy thing is that I haven't covered basketball since NBA playoffs last April. It's probably my second favorite sport to shoot next to football so I was glad to get this assignment.
In the process, Baylor made history becoming the first ever NCAA basketball team, men's or women's, to go 40-0. Stanford did well to contain tournament MOP Brittney Griner in the semis but she dominated the championship game. The above photo of her celebrating after scoring a basket in the championship is easily my favorite from the weekend, as it tells the story of the game and her team's season.
Griner was in beast mode all tournament and unfortunately for every other team in the country she'll be back for her senior season this fall.
Repeat anyone?
