"A competitor comes up for air during the swim portion of the Tri N July triathlon at the Recreation Center at Eastridge in Highlands Ranch, Saturday, July 17, 2010. Participants navigated a 750-meter swim, 14-mile bike ride and 4-mile run in heat that reached record temperatures over 100-degrees for the first time since August of 2008."
It was so hot on Saturday that I almost jumped in the pool...while on assignment.
The great thing about shooting a triathlon is getting to use the gorgeous early morning light. The less than desirable parts include getting up at 4:30AM and being out in 100+ degree heat.
As a photographer, good light always supersedes everything else so you didn't hear me complaining.
