I don't know what the odds of the Broncos putting up 35 first half points, 49 total, but if someone put up the cash they scored big in Las Vegas this weekend.

Coming off a bye week and four straight losses I think that it's safe to say that few people picked the outcome of this one. A, what seemed like, struggling Broncos squad came out like they were playing the JV team and scored 35 unanswered points against a Kansas City team that was leading the division.

From a photo standpoint it was a welcome experience. I seemed to make picture after picture in the first half with the exception of one "ref's ass" that killed me on a 40-yard TD to Jabar Gafney. The first six images above were from the first half.

The second half, although relatively boring, was good for a few nice images. The best, in my opinion, was after the game. I went in to the photo workroom to drop off my knee pads, long glass and extra two camera bodies and went light with just one camera and a wide angle for post game. I sprinted out to see the two coaches shaking hands but came away with an even better picture of a bitter Todd Healey refusing to shake Josh McDaniels hand.

Through the grapevine it sounds like Haley was mad about the Broncos leaving their starters in and (supposedly) running up the score. Seems funny though since the second half score was 19-14 in favor of the Chiefs.

The incident made for some good drama and a nice photo. The fire on the scoreboard didn't hurt either.

I'm happy for the Broncos and their fans but I'm holding off judgement. After all they are just 3-6.
