Sports Illustrated magazine is THE mecca of sports photography. This week one of my images made it into the magazine for the first time in my short career. You may recognize the above image from my last post.I'm ecstatic.
In my head I have a list of things that I want to accomplish as a photographer. They're not ultimatums because life is constantly changing so I think of them as small stepping stones that I hope to reach over the course of my career. The list is something personal to me and keeps me working hard but I can say several things with Sports Illustrated are on the list including getting my first picture published by them.

To add a cherry on top of the already outstanding week this has been, the image was also featured on several national television programs including ESPN's SportsCenter, Around the Horn and Pardon the Interruption, to name a few.
I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of it and recorded the moment on my iPhone. My mom even saw it at 6am on Morning Express with Robin Meade...not that I've ever see that show.
It has been a big week for me and one that I'll always remember. I've worked extremely hard to get to where I am and accomplishing this small goal reminds me that my efforts are paying off and that anything is possible. Life is good.
