APAD 61: Endless errands

"When asked to define himself in one word University of Denver student Saudmadi responded with 'courage' and evoked that feeling in his pose at Observatory Park in Denver on May 23, 2008."

It seemed like the errands were endless today. From the bank to hobby lobby to finishing some things on campus I had a busy day. I did make to the Muslim Student Association's picnic in time to shoot some portraits however only three people were willing to help me out. It was really frustrating because I only needed 30 seconds of their time but more than 10 people didn't want to do it.

As soon as I left there I stopped by chipotle before heading to the photo lab to begin cutting my 40 sheets of mat board for my "a photo a day" project. I'm printing 20 selects 8x12 and matting them in 16x20. It took me a good two hours to cut everything but I passed the time by watching the season finale of Grey's Anatomy that I missed last night. I think it might be one of the best episodes that they have ever had. I still have to cut the "windows" in half of the sheets but I'm waiting until I print the images before I do so.

My 85 f/1.8 cam in today and I played with that briefly before spending the evening getting ready for tomorrow's wedding  and working on the book that I'm making for my diversity portrait project. Considering how long it has taken me to get going on my independent study I'm really pleased with how everything is coming together.
