Saturday, before photographing the state wrestling championships, Evan Semon and myself drove up to Estes Park to shoot a small engagement session for Vanessa and Mike. We're shooting their wedding later this year and despite the cold weather they managed to have some fun in the snow while we made a few images.
While Evan was shooting a few images using the great scenic backdrop that Estes Park has, I stayed farther back with a long lens trying to make a few tighter, compressed portraits of the two of them. The snow really added a nice layer to the images that I usually don't find when shooting an engagement session.
I really like the expression in the image above but the dark trees made for a nice background in this image.
