This is a whole new way for guests to interact at a wedding.
Saturday during Ryan and Christine's wedding I was tasked with setting up a photo booth from scratch at the reception. I used a lot of the gear that I often use for commercial and sports assignments to make the set-up easy to use for all the guests. I rigged up a foot switch to the camera so you could take a picture with your hands free in front of the red seamless background. It looked pretty cool behind the scenes.
It was a ton of work but I know that they're going to be happy with all the outrageous images that their guests created.
Despite all the time, work and energy needed to do the photo booth I still had to second shoot for my good friend Mike Sasser. He's always assisting me so it was a welcome experience to have the roles reversed. There are some great images from the day up on his blog but I made a few favorites here, here, here and here.
We've already had past clients ask about the photo booth so I anticipate it being a big hit later this season and into next year.
